XEE is a way of training ordinary Christians how they can share their faith.
I learnt Evangelism Explosion or EE about 20 years ago, not long after I had become a Christian and I have never stopped using it's principles.
Let me explain like this. I'm a bit of a "handyman" I'm good at fixing things round the house and I also earn a bit of money doing bits and pieces for other people. Last year I asked for a "Multitool" for my birthday, a multitool is a bit like a swiss army knife but bigger. It's brilliant! It's centred around a pair of pliers and wire cutter, it has flat and cross headed screwdrivers, knife blades, scissors, saw - you get the picture. It doesn't replace my tool box but as it fits to my belt I've always got it with me and is very versatile.
EE or XEE, as it is becoming, is just like that - a multitool. It teaches a way of presenting the gospel that can be utilised in any situation when your "toolbox" isn't handy. I've used it in personal witnessing with my friends - I've used it in street witnessing situations - I've even preached around it.
The main principles are these:
One, it teaches a clear and articulate framework for the gospel.
Two, it doesn't base the teaching on classroom theory alone but involves lots of on-the-job training
Three, It teaches people to teach others. (classic multiplication)
If you've never been trained in EE/XEE I suggest you find out about it - you won't be sorry.
